The LONCOM conference program is made up of 4 parallel tracks; each track containing 6 presentations.
Here’s a taste of what’s to come –
In the Energy Efficiency, Room Automation track, Dirk Dronia from LOYTEC electronics GmbH, will be talking about: The LOYTEC Building – Totally Integrated and Highly Efficient
First thing visitors experience when visiting the LOYTEC Building – there are no light switches. And there is no need for such antique technology. The environment behaves according to the users expectations. Every room is completely automated including HVAC, constant light control with DALI luminaires, sunblind control that interacts with the constant light control, etc. Users can adjust their favourable settings through widget-like controls running on PCs or through touch panels that are available in any room.
Highly distributed automation functions like alarming, scheduling and trending down to room level guarantee best availability, energy efficiency and comfort.
This presentation will show how beneficial a totally integrated LonMark® System can be implemented in a small office building to gain best comfort and best energy efficiency.
If that wasn’t enough – here’s another sneak preview –
The opening session of the track Technology Trends and Outlook will be given by Anders Axelsson, Echelon Corporation who will be talking about:
New technologies and the next generation of the LonWorks® technology platform
Control networks have gone from background building systems to front page news. Most countries worldwide are moving forward with smart grid initiatives and projects. Rising energy prices have forced businesses to consider how and when they use energy. Energy management and control is being discussed from boardrooms to parliaments, from how it affects bottom line profitability, to global environmental impact, to the “green image” of cities and countries.
What does this growing awareness mean for the future of control networks and LonWorks® technology? Where are the fastest growing regions and market segments? What are the key opportunities for growing your LonWorks control networking business?
Anders Axelsson will report on the LonWorks Infrastructure product direction plus the growing trends and emerging opportunities in the control networking and energy management businesses, including smart metering, energy management applications, networked lighting, buildings, retail locations, fast food chains and home automation.
